This adapter converts a 40-pin PIC ZIF socket into a 28-pin Mid/High-Range PIC socket. Use your existing 40-pin PIC Development Kit, which you are already familiar with, to develop 28-pin
Mid/High-Range products. The use of this adapter is very cost effective compared to the cost of a dedicated 28-pin PIC Development Kit. A Zero Insertion Force socket is used to insure long life. This
device adapter is the perfect companion to our PIC Prototyping Board.
NOTE: This adapter is not recommended in applications where the 40-pin socket is not of type ZIF.
Additionally, it is not required to program 28-pin devices in the Warp13 Device Programmer.
